Specific applications have been developed for the automotive sector in the welding of car bodies and commercial vehicles where the strength and lightness of the clamp are fundamental elements. Given the high number of cycles to which pneumatic components are subjected in this sector, reliability and the need to minimize downtime even for routine maintenance are extremely important factors. The photos show some solutions for spot welding where the particular care dedicated to guiding the rod, which is subjected to high bending moments due to the electrode overhang relative to the cylinder axis, is evident.
