AIRON Series QRS super-compact cylinders feature extremely limited axial dimensions. Produced in a single-acting version with retract rod, they are available with bores from 8 to 63 mm and strokes from 4 to 25 mm; normally used to lock pieces in place. The exploded diagram below shows the cylinder components: the body (1) is made from an extruded galvanised aluminium bar, which, after machining, houses other components such as the rod-piston assembly (2); this single-piece item is made of stainless steel and houses the piston seal (3) and the stainless steel spring (4). The front cover (5) which encloses the components inside the cylinder is held in place with an elastic ring (6).
