AIRON
CD series giant compact cylinders, available with
bores of 125, 160 and 200 mm, allow exertion of high
thrust with considerably lower longitudinal dimensions
than those on ISO 6431 VDMA 24562 cylinders. Double-acting,
equipped with elastic shock absorbers; available in
standard and through rod versions, with or without a
magnetic ring. The heads have four threaded holes with
centre-to-centre distance identical to that on ISO 6431
cylinders, thus allowing use of the same accessories
and optimising use of relative stocks. Moreover, it
is also possible to fix the cylinder directly to a wall
(on which 4 threaded holes have been made) using just
4 screws (fig. 1). Each version offers several variants,
such as seals suitable for temperatures as high as 150°
C, tandem units to provide greater thrust and multi-stage
units to execute multiple positions, with the rod ends
having a male thread etc. so that the technician can
choose a cylinder with the most suitable characteristics
for the application in hand.
