The AIRON “MB” series are cylinders with a piston rod locking device while the “UB” series has a shaft locking device. Cylinders and locking devices are available in double-acting “MBD” and “UBD” versions which require a pneumatic signal both to lock and release the rod and in single-action, normally closed “MBC” and “UBC” versions which require a pneumatic signal to release the rod. On single-action versions the absence of a control signal locks the rod. Cylinders are available in 32, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 mm bores and are ready for fitting of piston position sensors as standard; they can be coupled to fittings for ISO 6431 cylinders. Locking devices have been designed for coupling to shafts of diameter 12, 16, 20, 25 and 30 mm.
